2011 Millage Rates 

Township taxes are billed on the Winter Tax Statement.

Operating Millages

                    Rates

Township General - Township voters establish Waterford as a Charter Township in April, 1961.  Charter Townships by law can assess up to 5.0 mills of property tax for Governmental operations.  Waterford Township's maximum millage rate is capped by the Headlee Amendment at 3.8478 mills.  The Township Board for the 2010 budget year has set the rate at the capped maximum millage allowed under the Headlee Amendment. 3.8478
Police Voted # 1 - 10 year millage approved by the voters for additional staff and operation.  Millage is authorized through 2014, (collected on the 2004 - 2013 tax bill). 1.5000
Police Voted # 2 - 10 year millage approved by the voters for additional staff and operation.  Millage is authorized through 2016, (collected on the 2006 - 2015 tax bill). 1.5000
Fire Voted # 1 - 10 year millage approved by the voters for additional staff and operation.  Millage is authorized through 2016, (collected on the 2006 - 2015 tax bill). 1.0000
Fire Voted # 2 - 10 year millage approved by the voters for additional staff and operation.  Millage is authorized through 2017, (collected on the 2007 - 2016 tax bill). 1.0000
Fire Voted # 3 - 10 year millage approved by the voters on August 6, 2002, for additional staff and operation.  Millage is authorized through 2012, (collected on the 2002 - 2011 tax bill). 0.6300
Library Voted - 10 year millage approved by the voters on August 6, 2002, for maintenance, operation and expansion of the library.  Millage is authorized through 2012, (collected on the 2002 - 2011 tax bill). 0.9118
