Hours of Operation: 
Summer Hours - April 16 - October 14
10:00am - 8:00pm, Park will be open 7 days a week
Winter Hours - October 15 - April 15
10:00am - 4:00pm, Park will be closed on Wednesdays & Thursdays

Activities at the park include:
All Kids Playground, USDA Animal Farm Exhibit, Lone Cedar Historical House, Softball Field, Sand Volleyball Courts, Walking/Hiking Trails, 4 Horseshoes Pits, Cross Country Skiing Trails (not groomed trails).

Community Garden Project
The Citizens Farm Project seeks to educate our residents and encourage healthy local organic growing with little or none of the carbon emissions commercial farming can produce.  A one-time $10 lifetime membership fee and $15 for a 10' x 10' plot of land within the Hess-Hathaway Park. 
Additional Information and Application

Rental Information - 2012  
All rentals must be scheduled at least 10 days in advance.  To secure your date you must pay the rental fee along with the damage deposit fee.  To reserve a park pavilion, park gazebo, Community Building, guided animal tour or hayride contact the main Waterford Parks and Recreation office at (248) 674-5441.

Picnic Pavilion I  
Seats 160: 16-20 picnic tables
Rental Fee: $175 - all day rental - 10:00am - 8:00pm
Damage Deposit: $50 - refunded after if there is no damage to structure
Non-Resident Fee:  An additional $28

Picnic Pavilion II  
Seats 75: 10 picnic tables
Rental Fee: $99 - all day rental - 10:00am - 8:00pm
Damage Deposit: $50 - refunded if there is no damage to structure
Non-Resident Fee: An additional $28

Park Gazebo  
Seats 35: 4 picnic tables
Rental Fee: $65 - minimum of 2 hours
Additional Hours: $25 per each additional hour
Damage Deposit: $50 - refunded if there is no damage to structure
Non-Resident Fee: An additional $10

Community Building
Seats 120: 10 - 12 round tables
Rental Fee: $345 for 6 hours
(rental must end no later than Midnight)
Additional Hours: $50 per each additional hour
Damage Deposit:
 
$200 without alcohol - $350 with alcohol
Refunded if there is no damage to building
Non-Resident Fee: An additional $28
Cancellation Policy for Picnic Pavilion I & II, Park Gazebo and Community Building:  Your entire rental fee will be forfeited if you cancel within 60 days of your rental.  Fifty (50%) will be forfeited if you cancel 61–119 days of your rental.  You will receive a full refund if you cancel 120 or more days before your rental date less a $5 administrative fee.
 
Children's Birthday Party Packages
Birthday Party Package includes: Gazebo for 3 hours, guided animal tour and hayride.
Cost: $75 for 15 children - Includes Gazebo  
Each additional child is $10 - No charge for adults  
Non-Resident Fee: Add an additional $10 to total
Hours for Parties: 10:30AM - 1:30PM  or  2:00PM - 5:00PM  
You may bring snacks, beverages, birthday cake etc.
Cancellation Policy for Birthday Party Packages:  If you need to cancel due to inclement weather please call the park directly at (248) 360-3814 at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled rental time.  You will be responsible to contact the main office to reschedule.  If a rescheduled date is unable to be schedule you will receive a refund minus a $5 administrative fee. 
 
Group Activities (by appointment only):
Lone Cedar Historical Farm House Tour Minimum of $25 per tour $2.00 per child
Guided Animal Visit / Tour Minimum of $25 per tour $2.00 per person
 Hayride* Minimum of $40 per wagon $3.75 per person
Campfire $15 if scheduled with a hayride $30 campfire only
 *Approximately 25 people per wagon

Waterford/White Lake School Group or Scout Group (by appointment only):
Lone Cedar Historical Farm House Tour Minimum of $25 per tour $1.50 per child
Animal Visit / Tour Minimum of $25 per tour $1.50 per person
Hayride* Minimum $40 per wagon  $2.50 per person
Campfire: $15 if scheduled with a hayride $30 campfire only
Pavilion or Gazebo: $35 charged to reserve for a school group outing   
 *Approximately 25 people per wagon
