Special Thanks to these generous donors who helped make Earth Day Township Cleanup possible with donations of dumpsters, gloves, trash bags, vests, water, and more!
Many thanks to more than 60 volunteers from the Waterford community who volunteered for Earth Day 2016 on Friday, April 22! Together we were able to remove 38 yards of trash, debris, car parts and more from Waterford's roadsides.
Special thanks also to students of the Waterford School District who spent Earth Day cleaning up their campuses. All buildings participated in on-campus cleanup efforts, while several groups from Mott & Kettering cleaned along major roadways over the weekend. The school district was an essential partner in promoting the event and gathering Waterford's youth in this community environmental crusade!
Taking care of our community not only improves Waterford's aesthetic appeal, but most importantly, keeps dangerous debris from ending up in our numerous waterways where they affect the ecosystem and impair recreation.
Remember - no one likes a litter bug! Please deposit trash in proper receptacles and recycle. Together we can achieve so much!
