This administrative order is issued in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008, as well as Michigan statutory law.  The purpose of this order is to ensure that qualified individuals with disabilities have equal and full access to the justice system. Nothing in this order shall be construed to impose limitations or to invalidate the remedies, rights, and procedures accorded to any qualified individuals with disabilities under state or federal law.

Court Divisions
The Court is separated into 4 primary departments including:
  • The Civil Department handles cases that involve money or damage claims, landlord/tenant disputes, and performs marriage ceremonies.
  • The Criminal Department processes misdemeanor and felony criminal law violations such as drunk driving, domestic violence, retail fraud, and assault.
  • The Probation Department is responsible for supervision of probationers, conducting pre-sentence investigations, alcohol assessments, and probation violation hearings.
  • The Traffic Department processes citations written by police departments and municipal civil infractions.
Caseload & Budget
