Welcome to Waterford Township, Michigan, a great place to live, work and visit! Established in 1834, Waterford is centrally located in Oakland County with a population of 71,707.  It’s the fifth largest Township by population in Michigan. We are a “Lakeland Paradise” with 34 lakes and have much to offer residents, businesses and visitors alike.

Spring Hydrant Flushing

The Waterford Township Department of Public Works will perform spring hydrant flushing beginning this week (April 6, 2015). Staff will work Monday thru Thursday from 7pm until 11pm through May 6, 2015. If customers experience rusty water they are advised to let cold water run until clear. Customers should also avoid washing laundry during these times. If you have any questions, please contact the DPW at 248-674-2278.
