It’s the fifth largest Township out of 1,242 in the State. We are a “Lakeland Paradise,” with 34 lakes and have a lot to offer residents, businesses and visitors alike. Our website will direct you to all facets of Waterford. Thank you for visiting and please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Citizens Online Police Reporting System (COPRS)
As the Chief of Police in Waterford Township, I am proud to introduce our new “Citizens Online Police Reporting System” (COPRS), designed to provide our Citizens with the ability to make certain types of police reports from the comfort of their home computer, office computer, laptop or iPad.
In Waterford Township, we operate on the motto “Policing is a Partnership.” This project was developed through a partnership between our Citizens, Businesses, Oakland County’s Courts and Law Enforcement Management Information System (CLEMIS) and our Staff. I commend this partnership and sincerely “Thank” everyone for their dedication in developing COPRS.
Please feel free to use this new system to report any of the following incidents when there is no suspect(s):
- Harassing Phone Calls
- Theft
- Damaged Property
- Vandalism
- Identity Theft
- Lost Property
- Private Property Accident
Reports with suspect information still require the victim(s) speak with a Police Officer, and can be handled through our Dispatch Center at 248-618-7550. Again, thank you to everyone involved in this partnership for making COPRS a reality!
Daniel T. McCaw
Chief of Police
